A proud native of Houma and 2008 alumnus of Vandebilt Catholic High School, Gary Williams, Jr. has practiced law in the state of Louisiana since 2015. Prior to joining the Waitz & Downer team, he served as an assistant district attorney and represented clients in private practice at his own firm, the Law Office of Gary Williams, Jr.
After earning a business management degree from Louisiana State University, Gary went on to receive his law degree from Southern University Law School. Throughout his career, he has garnered extensive experience in personal injury law, wills, successions, contracts, and business litigations, in addition to prosecuting serious felonies.
Gary is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the National Black Prosecutors Association, as well as incoming president of the Terrebonne Parish Bar Association.
Along with his legal practice, Gary has been happily active in the Terrebonne community, serving as Attorney for the Terrebonne Board of Adjustment, a member of the Rotary Club of Houma-Terrebonne, and a Board Member for Vandebilt Catholic High School Consultive Board.
Outside of his law career, Gary is a proud husband and father.
